“Glasgow 850" is a year-long celebration taking place throughout 2025, marking the 850th anniversary of Glasgow gaining Burgh status in 1175. During this milestone year, the city will host a large number of events and activities that honour and reflect upon Glasgow’s rich history, dynamic present and ambitious future.
In this online, virtual exhibition, we have selected works by traditional and contemporary artists which feature some aspects of Glasgow through their eyes, from its architecture and landscapes to the people that call the city their home.
