Pen Reid

Pen Reid graduated with an MA in Painting and Printmaking from the School of Art Institute of Chicago, USA (1990-1993) and a BA (Hons) in Painting and English Literature from Oxford Brookes University, UK (1986-1990).

She has participated in numerous mixed exhibitions including the Winter Show 2022/23, the Cabinet Show 2022, and the Summer Show 2022 at Compass Gallery, Glasgow.

Awards: Juror's Merit Award, Austin Museum of Art, Texas 1995; Ryerson Travelling Fellowship, Art Institute of Chicago 1993; International Peace Scholarship PEO 1991, 1992.

Poetry: Pen's invited performances of her poetry have included Coastworld Festival, The Poetry Club, The National Library and The Edinburgh Fringe, with a five star review. She co-wrote 'Char' which was performed and published for the Hidden Doors Festival. Her first solo collection 'Invalid' was launched at The Scottish Poetry Library by Appletree Press.
